Privacy Policy
CalculatorsPH (“we,” “our,” “us,” “the Service”) is operated by MalachiSoft Inc., a corporation registered in the Philippines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website at calculators.ph and our companion mobile applications, how we use that information, and your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Calculator inputs
None. All calculations happen client-side in your browser (or locally in our mobile app). The amounts, dates, names, salaries, and other inputs you type are never transmitted to our servers. They exist only in your browser tab or app session and are discarded the moment you close it.
1.2 Browsing data
When you visit calculators.ph, our hosting provider (InMotion Hosting) and content-delivery cache (LiteSpeed) automatically log:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type and version
- The pages you visit and the time of each visit
- The referring URL (the site that linked you to us)
This information is collected in standard server logs for security, debugging, and performance monitoring. It is not linked to any individual identity. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
1.3 Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies from LiteSpeed Cache and WordPress to deliver pages quickly and remember your cookie consent choices. These do not require consent under the DPA.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4, used to count aggregate visits to each calculator page and understand which calculators are popular. Google Analytics IP addresses are anonymized. You can opt out by declining analytics cookies in our consent banner, by using browser privacy extensions, or by enabling Do Not Track.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social-tracking pixels.
1.4 Mobile app data
The CalculatorsPH Android app collects zero data. The app does not require an account, does not request network permissions for analytics, and does not phone home. Calculation history (up to 50 entries) and your settings (notification preferences, theme) are stored only in your device’s local app storage. Clearing the app data or uninstalling the app erases everything.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- Your name (unless you email us)
- Your email address (unless you email us)
- Your phone number, SSS number, TIN, GSIS number, or PhilHealth number
- Your salary, bank account numbers, credit card details, or any financial identifiers
- Your tax declarations, property valuations, or any document content
- Biometric or facial data
- Your precise location
If a calculator asks you to enter such information (e.g., your monthly salary in the BIR Income Tax calculator), the value stays in your browser only and is used purely to display the calculation result on your screen.
3. How we use the limited data we collect
- To deliver pages quickly via caching
- To prevent abuse (spam, scraping, denial-of-service attacks)
- To understand which calculators are most useful so we can prioritize updates
- To respond to your email inquiries
- To comply with valid legal process (court orders, subpoenas) if served on us in the Philippines
4. Third parties we work with
We share data only with the following service providers strictly to operate the website:
- InMotion Hosting — web hosting (US-based, GDPR/CCPA compliant)
- LiteSpeed — page caching layer
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (anonymized IP)
- Google Fonts — web font delivery (no cookies, but Google may log IPs for font requests)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
RA 10173 grants Filipino data subjects specific rights. Since we collect almost no personal data, most of these rights are limited in practice, but here is what we honor:
- Right to be informed — this policy itself
- Right to access — email us and we will tell you what data, if any, we hold on you
- Right to object — decline analytics cookies, use the app instead of the website, or block our domain entirely
- Right to erasure or blocking — email us with proof of your IP address(es), and we will purge any matching log entries within 30 days
- Right to rectify — N/A since we don’t store personal profiles
- Right to data portability — N/A for the same reason
- Right to file a complaint — if you believe we mishandled your data, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines at privacy.gov.ph
6. Children
CalculatorsPH is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS with TLS 1.3. Our hosting provider maintains industry-standard security including firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular backups. The mobile app does not transmit any user data, so there is no transit risk. We cannot, however, guarantee absolute security — no system is 100% safe.
8. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time as the website evolves, when laws change, or when we adopt new tools. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes (e.g., introducing user accounts or new third parties), we will post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days.
